Chapter 30

“My dad already owns plenty of things,” Pablo said as the two of them exited from yet another store. “I have to get him something more unique.”

“What about you get him something from one of those branded-goods stores?”

Pablo shook his head. “He can purchase them for himself. In fact, he has a shit ton of those things in one of the walk-in closets at home. He doesn’t even use most of them. They’re collecting dust in the closets.”

Keenan ignored the wave of irritation that engulfed his senses. He knew it wasn’t Pablo’s fault for being born with a damn diamond spoon in his mouth, but it somehow rubbed him the wrong way to hear the nonchalant tone in Pablo’s voice. It must have been wonderful never having to worry about money. He counted down from ten to one inside his head as he attempted to tamp down his anger.

“Just get him a personalized gift or something then.”
