“Yes, it is. I’ve been miserable without you. I thought I would never see you again.”
“You will see me again. I just don’t know when.”
“I do. My company is doing a convention for visiting doctors at the beginning of March. In Boston. We will have several floors of a hotel booked. As site manager, I will have a room of my own. Come to Boston that weekend. Stay with me in the hotel room. I will be able to bring food up for you from the buffet. It won’t cost you a thing. I’ll have to go down and check on things now and then, but most of the time I will be up in the room with you. I’ll just be on call. It will be a mini vacation for you. Please come.”
“Give me the exact date.”
“The first weekend in March.”
“Alright. I’ll see if I can get the Friday off so I’m there by Friday afternoon. I’m not sure I’m keen on driving in the winter, though. I might take the train.”
“That would be a great idea. The hotel is just a few blocks from the train station.”
