“Of course,” he nods, softening his features and giving Skylar a gentle smile. Skylar doesn’t smile back, but Quinn can see some of the tension leave his body as he tugs on Quinn’s hand until he is sitting on the bed. At this point, Quinn is completely at a loss of what to do. He is sure him being in the room while Skylar is sleeping and most vulnerable is not the best idea and he’s not entirely sure if Skylar knows what he is asking. But nor is he willing to argue if this turns out to be something that Skylar needs.
Quinn scoots up to sit against the headboard, Skylar shifting over to give him space. He knows he’s being overly cautious about the proximity between them, but Quinn can’t help it. He’s worried about screwing things up, worried about scaring Skylar away, worried of stepping out of line or too fast in one direction that he breaks their connection permanently.
