It was Halloween, and this party was if anything even more crowded than the last one. It was certainly more colorful, since nearly everyone was in costume.
Noah was, too, and he’d been unable to resist this particular outfit. He’d already owned it as he’d made it for Halloween a few years ago. Well, he’d been lucky enough to find the tuxedo second hand. The cape though he’d made from scratch, you couldn’t get one this nice, lined with real red satin, in any Spirit Halloween store.
“I like your outfit.” Jack was suddenly standing beside Noah. He was dressed as a cowboy, complete with massive belt buckle and Stetson hat. Gabe, hovering behind him as always, looked like something out of Shakespeare, frilly collar and all. Which, if Noah was doing the math correctly, was about right. Though the outfit couldn’t possibly have belonged to him back in the 1500s, it was in far too good a condition.
“Thanks. I, ah, I’ve always really liked vampires.”
