When Jack finally lifted his head Noah was glad he was sitting down, because he suspected his legs wouldn’t have supported him otherwise. “God, that was amazing.”
Jack smiled, then bent his head again to kiss away the little trickle of blood that oozed from the double puncture mark on Noah’s neck. Noah sighed deeply, still pressing close to Jack, feeling something almost like an afterglow fill him after the intense experience.
“You can’t possibly be real,” murmured Noah, running his hands down Jack’s back.
“Oh?” Jack sounded amused.
“You would be hot as hell even if you weren’t a vampire. And for somebody who’s a hundred and four you’re being really understanding about my issues. You are all around amazing.”
“You flatter me.” Jack smiled. “I’m just doing the best I can.”
Noah smiled and sat back, though he still kept his arms around Jack. “Is it okay if I ask you a personal question?”
“Hah. We’ve discussed enough personal stuff already. Sure, go ahead.”
