Noah likes people watching, so when he notices a cute gay couple who don't seem to have a reflection, he's fascinated. They can't actually be vampires, can they?<br><br>As he learns more about the enthralling pair, he soon discovers his wild suspicion is more than correct. But Noah is hiding a secret of his own, and how could two men from decades or even centuries in the past possibly care, possibly understand, when they discover Noah wasn't always Noah?<br><br>That first hurdle is only the beginning, though. But Jack and Gabe are immortal vampires, so it's hardly surprising Noah isn't the only one who has a troublesome past.

Three of Hearts

“So tell me a little more about yourself,” said Jack as they waited for the food. “We’ve talked about our oddities some, but what about everything else? I always like it when people know about Jack the guy who’s way too into rock and roll, and not just Jack the inhuman vampire. I know about Noah the transgender man, but I don’t know very much about just plain Noah.”


Noah smiled, feeling a warmth blossom in him. “Well, just plain Noah also really loves rock and roll. Who’s your favorite group?”


“As if I could pick just one! I got into it early, we were doing one of our attempts to get back in touch with the world right when Beatlemania peaked.” He gave a little shake of his head and flashed a small smile at Noah. “And it’s great to not have to lie about that and pretend I wasn’t even born then! But anyway, most of my favorites are from right around then. The Beatles definitely. The Who. The Stones. I like Elvis, too. And, guilty pleasure, I’m pretty fond of The Beach Boys.”
