“Been together long?”
Cory went still and peered at Jordan over the conveyor for a moment before his face broke into a grin. “Two years. We’ve been friends for most of our lives, but we finally got our act together. Luis’s family wasn’t exactly accepting, so it took him a while to come to terms with things.”
“I understand that,” Jordan muttered, eyes on his work.
There was a clang as the wrench slipped. When Jordan looked up, Cory was staring at him.
“Yeah?” Cory’s voice was filled with curiosity even as he strove for indifference.
Jordan nodded. What the hell? Might as well. “I’m bi. Confused the hell out of me for a long time. And then doing what I do…” Jordan shrugged. “My parents are gone, but I could never have told them. My brother is fine with it, though.”
