Chapter 60

“Feels like Heaven to me, Daniel, my love.”

Jefferson and Daniel were as mushy as Goose and I, and we didn’t find it the least bit annoying. “For us, too.” Though I had held Goose more recently than Daniel had Jefferson, I still wanted him close, hand in hand.

“We’re trying to bring some other spirits to us,” Goose explained after a bit. “Actually, you should know all that, right? Can you help us?” He showed Daniel and Jefferson the collection of love letters. “We’ve already made contact with four spirits. They’re all in here, letters from them. We talked to them before we even had this, actually. How do we bring them in? How do we bring the others over, their lovers, the ones they want to be with on that side?”

“The whole reason we know about Davis and Jackie and Jose is you, I assume.” I had questions, too. “We are supposed to meet them, right? They’re coming here, aren’t they?”

Jefferson chuckled. “Still excitable and eager, my Goose, and it’s catchy, it seems.”
