“Not my point. I just want to make sure you’re okay.” Mitch smiled and nudged him gently. “Greg’s a good guy, though. He’ll take decent care of you.”
“He shouldn’t have to.” Brandon sighed deeply as Greg turned away from their friends. “It’s not his job.”
“I don’t think that’s how he sees things, but it’s your call, buddy.” He clapped Brandon on the shoulder. “Get on home with yourself. I’ll see you Monday, right?”
“Sure thing.” Brandon forced a grin and turned to Greg. “Thanks, man.”
“No problem. Like I said, I could stand to grab something to drink anyway. Let’s head out.”
