Brandon loved Adrian, so when Adrian abruptly moved out of their apartment Brandon was devastated. Six weeks later Brandon is ready to start to ease his way back into life again, but a chance encounter leaves him questioning everything he thought he knew -- about Adrian, their relationship, and himself.<br><br>His friends are there to see him through it, especially his best friend Greg. Greg wants what’s best for Brandon. Midnight

Dinner proved to be a kind of torture. He found himself across from Greg and between Lisa’s mother and her sister, the sister who was married to the person responsible for the rule against the presence of significant others in the first place. Funny, Brandon noticed, Candace didn’t seem to be at all troubled by the absence of her husband. Liz, Lisa’s mother, seemed to be feeling sniffy about the exclusion, offering up a biting comment that she probably considered to be witty at least every other mouthful.


“So, Brandon. I understand that your, uh, partner wasn’t allowed to be here either,” Liz observed, looking down her nose at him.
