Chapter 62

Nick looked up at the cartons nervously. “Let’s check these all out to make sure what we have.”

Cam looked down at the mound of coffee on the floor.

“We’re gonna waste a lot of coffee if there’s no “h” in there. Let’s try to keep it in the boxes. I’m sure Maurice would love to have a windfall of free coffee for the restaurant.”

Nick looked around at the mess all over the floor. “Yeah,” he admitted. “Might as well get somethingout of this.”

“What exactly are we looking for?” Cam asked, climbing up on the stack of cartons.

“There should be a plastic-covered bar of stuff somewhere in the middle of the coffee.” Nick lifted the carton that Cam pushed out to him and lowered it to the ground. “You go through this one. I’ll take another. I don’t want to spend all night on this.”

With that, they got to work. In less than an hour there were fourteen cartons filled with open packages that spewed piles of coffee beans.
