“I know.” Sonya turned around. “I will not be run out of business by some prickly little lawyer who has his head too far in where it doesn’t belong.”
“I agree.” Cam had another plan in her mind. If she could get Sonya to go on this trip while Nick was still in the hospital, then she could do her job without blowing her cover.
“Maybe we should call Alan now and see how things are going. Perhaps you won’t need to go to Brazil, then you can help me with our plan,” Cam suggested.
“It’s worth a try. Come with me,” Sonya said, heading for the stairway to the second floor.

They sat in Maurice’s office. Sonya hesitated before she made the call to Miami. She’d wanted to check with Ralphie to see if he’d found anything in Will’s room at Nick’s. But Ralphie wasn’t here; he’d left an envelope for her which now lay open before her on Maurice’s desk.
Sonya held the phone to her ear and listened to the ring as Cam picked up the extension.
