“I hope these are antibiotic ones.”
Francesca ignored his comment and continued. “Look, I understand what you are asking and why, but I really do not know what will happen to you once the spell has concluded. There could be a number of possibilities, but they would only be assumptions at this point.”
“But will I go away?” Angel asked.
“I don’t want to lie to you. Yes, that could happen. But maybe, you might stay, or turn into someone else. I just don’t know.”
Angel got up and ran out the door. I had just about had it as well.
“Couldn’t you have given him anything?” I started, hoping my face would show that I needed confirmation. “Anything, just anything.”
Francesca sighed. “I feel for him, and for you, but yelling at me will not get you anywhere. Now, please leave before I start to get angry.”
