“It’s times like these that I forget that I miss satellite,” Owen said, more to the television screen then to Sebastian himself. They’d managed to find an old black-and-white movie on a local station. It was the kind of movie that was resplendent in both finery and forlorn characters, complete with female leads who draped themselves dramatically over furniture, and stiff, strong, male leads who urged moments of long gazes and dramatic clutches. It was refreshing to watch. There was no great mystery to be solved and no outrageous twist of plot. Just sweet, old-fashioned romance, and the spectacle of a time neither of them knew.
