“I also brought you some red velvet cake. I saw you eyeing it at the diner, so I figured you liked it.” There was a slight pause. “Everything okay? You look kind of tense. This wouldn’t have anything to do with your friend, would it?”
I let a hiccup fly out, but I still tried to speak. “What? No, I’m glad you hit it off. He’s a great guy. Really fun and vibrant.”
“Yeah, I kind of got that. He is a bit pushy, though,” Kellan said with a laugh.
I chuckled back. I knew exactly what he meant. Bobby wasn’t shy about expressing his feelings, especially when it came to men. “Yeah, but some guys love that aggressive nature.”
“I guess some do, but not after meeting someone for the first ten minutes. I mean, call me old-fashioned, but he didn’t even remember my last name. How can you try to jump some guy’s bones like that?”
I hiccupped even harder. The conversation was making me uncomfortable, but mostly because I couldn’t believe Bobby tried to get Kellan into bed.
