Bobby began to squeal and hugged the both of us tight. “Oh, Kellan, I’m so happy for you. And Greg, I so hate you right now.”
Kellan put his hand on my chin and lifted my head up to look directly at him. “Well, we can’t celebrate just yet. I haven’t heard an answer.”
I was a bit in shock, but I managed to squeeze out a few words. “Yeah, I think an upgrade would be just fine.”
Bobby squealed again. “Wait here, I’m gonna go get us some celebration shots. They have to have something for this occasion, right?”
Kellan laughed as he pulled me in for a tighter hug, then kissed me on my cheek.

For the next few weeks, Kellan became a regular fixture in my office. He would often bring me something he made for my lunch, or we would take off to grab a quick bite, then steal a few kisses in the parking lot.
