“I love you, too. I was just on my way to go and show you how much.”
Kellan lifted the locket with his hands. “I think you just showed me how much.”
“Look, I may not be happy with the whole Tim thing,” Kellan continued, “and you may not be happy with the Eve situation, but…”
I placed my finger over his lips. “As long as I can have you back afterwards, that’s all I care about.”
Kellan ignored my gesture. “Going back to my daughter, I had an interesting talk with Max at the movies. She said it looked like you were checking me out. When I asked how she felt about that, she said that she thought you were cute for an older guy, and that I should have talked to you, especially since she didn’t care for Adrian.”
“I still wonder how you explained him to her,” I mused.
“Easy. I just told her he was a student that was trying to butter me up for a better grade by being nice to us,” Kellan said with a smile.
“Well, not that I condone lying, but did she believe you?” I asked.
