Chapter 64

“I trust you are considerably warmer now,” Julien murmured when the coach rolled to a halt.

“Yes, thank you.” Leander snuck in another soft kiss and then disentangled himself before the footman opened the door.

By the time they got inside the house, however, Leander was shivering again.

“Tell Kay to see that there is a good fire in my room,” Julien instructed Hudson as the butler took their things. “After that he may retire for the evening, as may you.”

“Very good, my lord. Lord Dearborne.” He gave Leander a small bow as well before going upstairs.

Julien put his hand on Leander’s back and guided him into the drawing room and a warm fire. “Are you certain you’re quite well, Leander?”

Letting out a growl, Leander grabbed Julien’s cravat and pulled him down into a deep kiss.

Julien was startled by both the sound and the kiss, but happily went along. “If that was incentive for me to stop asking after your health,” he said when they finally broke apart, “it’s failed miserably.”
