Chapter 19

“My parents know some equestrian groups and hooked us up. It’s going to be amazing…if I can get up there. I have an idea, got it while you were watching me shower.”

“Glad I could inspire you. I’ll watch you shower every day, if you think it will help with future brainstorming.”

“I’ll get back to you on that.”

“So, don’t keep me in suspense. What’s the brilliant solution to all your problems?”

“Well, I don’t know how brilliant it is, and it won’t solve everything, but the attic here is full of stuff I can unload. I’m thinking I might have a tag sale next weekend. Maybe I’ll earn enough to get the truck fixed, or at least rent another one. A few hundred bucks…We’ll see what I have to sell off.”

“Sounds like a plan,” I said. “Let me know if you need a hand setting up.”

“I will.”

“With that solved, here.” I’d ignored my pocket treasure too long. “Have a candy cane.”

“You addicted to these things?”
