“It still doesn’t show much,” Ven said, doubtfully.

“It shows enough.” Like a harsh cheekbone. A pointed chin. Eyes that looked darker rather than light. “I’ve seen him before. That’s the guy from the train who knew who I was. The one who told me he was a friend of Fong’s.” He jerked away as if shocked, staring at the door. “Shit.”

He bolted out before anybody could stop him. Jarrett took chase, taking the stairs three at a time to keep up. Eli ran straight for Felton’s office, but the cops at the door refused to let him go inside.

“Medic’s looking after Agent Stuart,” they were told. “Nobody’s in or out until the ambulance gets here.”

Jarrett pulled Eli to the side. “Why do you need to go in there?”
