“You have to sneak me out of the country?”

“I wish I hadn’t done something criminal. I knew I’d have to leave, but already? I don’t want to say goodbye to you.” Rainn felt surprised at himself for saying that aloud. True, the sex and affection had been phenomenal, but he also couldn’t remember feeling so cared for.


Sam held him close. “We don’t say goodbye, remember? And criminal? All you did was report a law being broken.”


Rainn closed his eyes and rested his head on Sam’s shoulder. “But I’m a wanted man when I don’t even jaywalk. I can’t believe this is happening.”
