A few good shoves moved the box out of the way, revealing a rusted metal hatch. It had a locking mechanism, but it was open. Still, Ken wondered, if people were actually down there, why would the tools be sitting on top of the entrance? Did the office guy move it for them upon receiving some sort of command? Or was he lying about the targets being here? “Something’s not right,” she mumbled.


Yuuki appeared at her side. She looked paler. Uncomfortable. “Nothing about this feels right to me.”
