Ken bit into her lip, trying to figure out want to do. It didn’t seem like anything she could say would stop Yuuki from leaving. As much as she didn’t want to let her go, she couldn’t really force her to stay, either. Instead, she chose some middle ground. “Wait.” Striding up to her quickly, Kenna reached into her pocket, pulled out her wallet, and grabbed all the cash inside. “Take this, please. If you’re gonna go, this should be enough to get some place really safe. Don’t go back to LA. It’s a mess. Look for a city or town that’s doing well. Get a job there. Maybe leave the country when you can. Be careful, okay? And if you change your mind, you know where the safe house is, and you have my number.”
