David raised his middle fingers at Joshua, who guffawed in return before exiting the office. As he packed his stuff up, he did his best not to let Joshua’s warning bother him, but he couldn’t shake it off. He thought about it almost incessantly as he made his way to his car and again on the drive back to his apartment. By the time he was ready for the date, it was five minutes to seven o’clock.
