“Are you sure you want me to do it? It’s your bakery.”


Anthony nodded. “You’re my boyfriend. You should do it.”


Vincent seemed pleased to hear that. “Okay. Thanks.”


Anthony observed as Vincent gently pasted the final item onto the center of the door. It was the same Chinese character that was found on the red lanterns hanging on the ceiling above, but it was much larger. The Chinese character was also deliberately positioned upside down to signify a desire for the good fortune to pour out onto the bakery. After that, they entered the bakery hand in hand. Naturally, there were only a few lights switched on inside because opening hour was about ten minutes away. All of the morning shift employees were busy with their own tasks. All of a sudden, Vincent burst out laughing at something, and Anthony gazed at his boyfriend in confusion.
