Chapter 113

He kept himself busy in the kitchen while Vincent retrieved his car from the parking lot in the building he worked at. After what occurred earlier, they agreed to return to his apartment and order takeout instead. He needed a break from the outside world, and nothing could be better than spending time with his boyfriend and cuddling on the couch at home. He would deal with everything else the next day when he felt more ready to. 7

“Are you sure you don’t want to join my family for dinner?” David asked.

“Or mine,” Justin added.

It was the fourth of February, which happened to be Lunar New Year’s Eve that year. Vincent smiled at his best friends/colleagues as they got out from the elevator and made their way across the parking lot in the basement of the office building they worked at.

“It’s reunion dinner, guys. You should celebrate with your family.”

David mock-punched Vincent on his right arm. “You are family. Sort of. My parents love you. You know that.”
