Chapter 17

Lance smiled back, then spied the bottle on the floor behind him. “Shit. Are you bombed?”

Wade shook his head, but the words wouldn’t form.

“Casanova, in there—” he thumbed behind him “—needs some private time to talk with Allyson.” Lance rolled his eyes, which made Wade hoot with laughter. “Can I hang out for a little while?”

Wade stepped back and gaped when Lance entered and closed the door behind him.

Wade glanced around. “What do you want to do? Watch a movie?”

“What do youwant to do?” Lance whispered, moving into his space.

Wade’s heart raced at the close proximity and he was already feeling warm and loose, so he let down his guard. “Like the ocean…”

Lance raised an eyebrow. “What?”

“Your eyes are like the ocean. Blue and green and then blue again. Like aquamarine.”

“Aquamarine?” Lance whispered.

“Yeah. I looked up your eyes on Google. Well, I mean, the color. Of your eyes.” The alcohol had him tripping over his words.
