His phone rang, lighting up the screen on the middle of the dash.

“Hey, Casey, what’s up?”

“Need you to turn around. We’ve got a mess back here.”

Wade did a U-turn in the middle of the road and hit the gas. “On my way. What’s going on?”

“Almost all our fence has been vandalized along the property butting up to Milton’s property. We need to repair and count the cattle. That bastard is going to pay for this.” The anger in his voice came through the phone loud and clear.

“Shit, Casey. What an asshole!”

“I’ve already called the sheriff. Just get back here as soon as you can and get saddled up.” Casey hung up before Wade could answer, but he understood. His brother was in crisis mode.

He was pretty pissed himself and it took a lot of willpower to keep from going too far over the speed limit. As he rode the last curve before coming on Dwyer Ranch, his phone rang again. The screen showed it was Lance.
