Kipp Llewellyn, the proverbial poor little rich boy, can have whatever he wants, except the one thing he wants most: his father’s love. He gave a full-body shudder. “I’m…I’m done here. Let me just gather…I’ll drive you home and come back here to shower and change.”


I kissed the hinge of his jaw. “You know, you could shower and get changed now. It would save you from having to drive back and forth. And once I’m home, it won’t take me long to get myself together.”


“You’re really determined to see my suite, aren’t you?”


No, I was determined to see his naked body. If I needed to use the bathroom while he was showering…? I peeked at him through my lashes.


“Um…just out of curiosity…What would you do if I…?”


“I don’t think you want to know.”


I felt cold. Would he call off the wedding?


“Ye—” My voice cracked. God, my mouth had gotten so dry. I swallowed and tried again. “Yes?”
