“Oh, ye of little faith. You can give him this.” And he handed me a silver-plated USB drive key chain.
“You knew he was going to give a speech?” I bumped his shoulder with mine. “Thank you. I’d have looked like such a cheapskate.”
“You know I’d never let that happen.” He brushed a soft, brief kiss over the dimple in my cheek.
“No one tapped on a glass, Ham.” Hunter winked at me, and I turned to stare at Hyde, wide-eyed.
“Yes, Hunter was one of the guys from the Garage. So was Tony.”
I wondered how many of his friends he’d helped. What a good man he was.
“Ladies and gentlemen, it’s my turn to make a speech,” Hunter said. “Most of you don’t know Kipp Llewellyn.”
Hyde growled deep in his throat.
