Chapter 90

Hunter turned his head as much as he could into the pillow, squeezing his eyes shut tight. Gone was any pretense that he could stand up to this thing and show it he was fearless. He now simply hoped the end would come as quickly as possible and that it wouldn’t hurt too much.

He tried, somewhere in the recesses of his mind where there still remained a smidgen of rational thought, to tell himself this was a nightmare, a figment of his imagination, a manifestation of his insanity, but he couldn’t convince himself. Weird as it was, this experience had all the undeniable earmarks of reality.

At last he simply let his mind stop to wind down into numbness, a blank void.

“Hunter. You have no will. No will. Tonight, I will fuck. I will kill. And we, my sweet, will be together forever. You are the one for whom I have waited—the last one.”
