“Be sure to button up, Mr. Madding. I heard on the radio there’s a storm moving in.”

“Thanks for the head’s up,” Jesse said, without slowing his stride across the lobby. He resisted the temptation to look over his shoulder and make sure Marcus wasn’t following him. He would hear the other man walk across the marble floor. That would be enough of a warning. Still, his heart was lodged in his throat by the time he reached the elevator bank and pushed the call button.
