“So?” Chase bumped Trevor’s foot with his own. “What are your plans?”
“We could watch a movie?” Immediately he had to tamp down the thought of Netflix and chill
“Ehh.” Chase shrugged. Trevor couldn’t blame him; he wasn’t really that excited by the prospect either. Unfortunately, Chase didn’t have any better ideas. They tossed half-hearted options back and forth for a minute, then fell into silence.
Superb. Trevor was going to make Chase wish he was back on his computer. He already saw the tell-tale flicker of his eyes. How pitiful was he that he couldn’t hold Chase’s interest for more than a few minutes? What he needed to do was get Chase out of the room, distract him.
Wait, that was it!
“Hey, when we met, you said you wanted me to show you around—”
“And all you’ve shown me is Wawa.”
“Not true: that’s the only one I showed you on my own. But I have a place in mind. It’s not marked on any maps, and as long as you don’t mind walking, I think you’ll like it.”
