“We did,” Chase said, once they’d regained their footing. Then he kissed Trevor, because there was no better way to celebrate surviving the graduation ceremony.
“Mmm.” When Chase went to pull back, Trevor pulled him in for another kiss, their bodies pressing indecently close. On the other hand, no one was paying them any attention, all wrapped up in their own excitement—
Chase yanked back as he spotted familiar faces. “Hi, Mom and Dad!”
Trevor nearly tripped over his robe as he tried to put space between them and fix his cap and gown so it didn’t look like he’d been groping Chase. “Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Higgins.”
“Hi, Trevor,” Dad said with an eye roll.
“Congratulations,” Mom added, smiling. “Is your family here?”
“Yeah, but they said they’d meet us by the statue.” He elbowed Chase. “Your son was supposed to tell you that.”
Chase smiled sheepishly. “It slipped my mind.”
