“That’s our dinner for this evening.”
“Okay. Where’s Larry anyway? I haven’t seen him since we got down from the carriage. The only other people around are the guards.”
“Larry has to take care of something.”
“What’s that?” Jonas inquired out of curiosity.
“You’ll see,” Carson answered in a rather mysterious tone of voice.
Jonas narrowed his eyes at Carson. “I don’t know if I should be thrilled or worried about whatever is coming up next.”
“It will be great. I promise.”
Jonas nodded as he picked up one of the oars. “Fine. Let’s steer this boat all the way to the middle of the lake then.”
