Zeke was lost in minutes, with all the twists and turns they took. Peliel guided them without trouble though. Maybe he was in this section, one of the voluminous tents his, and he was taking them to the nearest of many healers’ tents.
Then the ivory fabric parted and Peliel led them to a truly large dirt road, tents clustered down the line as far as Zeke could see. The main thoroughfare. Zeke’s eyes almost fell out of his head.
Along with the tents, that same stunning array of angels paraded on the road. Paradedwas the only word for the display.
“Wow,” Zeke breathed.
Peliel glanced back at him over his raven wing and grinned. “Quite a sight, no?”
What an understatement. Just the amazing spectacle of the angels’ wings was something to behold. They all shimmered like rainbows in the light. Every type of body Zeke had heard of meandered past him. It was like someone had collected the apex from all of humanity and made them transcendent. Zeke was at a loss for words.
