Chapter 56

“It’s going to be okay,” Carson repeated over and over as he started his car. The engine sounded too loud in the garage, and blood still flowed freely down his face. He wiped it away from his eye, but it didn’t help. Panic rose in his chest, but he pushed it back down. Head wounds bled a lot. That didn’t mean he was going to die. He might not even need stitches. And Edwin was probably just dehydrated. A night in the hospital, and he’d be as good as new.
