“I amadorable, aren’t I?” he laughed. “And you know, between you and me…” Colin lowered his voice. “I’d tell you why I’m with him, but seeing as he’s your brother and all…”


But Jadyn burst out laughing and now gave Colin that hug she held back before.


“Sorry, Dexter,” she said to him. “I’m stealing him and never, ever giving him back.”


Dexter held his hands up. “You can keep ‘im.”

Turned out, so many people were there because, like with Jadyn, the Dugans had invited their oldest foster children to stay in their home for as long as they needed, which, including Jadyn, was three. They also had five foster children in their care and four biological children of their own.
