Up until recently, he was sure that it hadn’t reached Dexter’s ears. Thought maybe he was asleep, or that maybe that Colin himself was too incoherent to make any sense. But now, well, now he just didn’t know what to think. Between Ma’s worsening condition and Dexter changing, Colin felt the two strongest things that rooted him to the world pulling away from him.
“Colin, you’re coming tonight, right?”
Colin looked up from his sketchpad at Maya. She’d stopped by with Shaun and Liz for lunch. To be honest, he hadn’t been paying all that much attention to them.
“Sorry, what?” Colin shook his head. “Coming where?”
“Our show,” Maya clarified. “Tonight.”
Colin blinked a few times. “Y-you have a show tonight?”
“Yeah.” She knitted her eyebrows. “Didn’t…didn’t Dexter tell you?”
