Sean realized there was some validity to everything he was thinking, and that problems could lay in wait for the two of them should things progress beyond tonight, but that didn’t change the fact that things felt so right. This wasn’t an intellectual feeling or a rational one. It was one straight from his gut, or maybe he should say his heart. And it enveloped his whole being.

Arliss stirred, and Sean looked down to see blue eyes staring up at him. “Sorry, man, I drifted off for a minute there. Let me assure you—I do notfind you boring.”

“That didn’t cross my mind.” Sean took a sip of his beer and laughed. “But now it will. But seriously, I’m happy you felt comfortable enough to drift off.”
