He hoped that meant he would find Rachel alone in 201. Over the past several months, she spent most of her time in the off-topic thread on the forum, and she was always open about her personal beliefs and experiences with ghosts and magic. Consequently, she and Ryan rarely interacted online—he couldn’t be sure she would know who he was or even be willing to speak to him. Still, he had to try. The more he thought about his theory, the more his certainty grew. Twenty-four hours earlier, he would have identified as a skeptic, especially when it came to ghosts, and now he needed to enlist the help of a stranger to help him defeat the ghosts trying to keep him away from the gorgeous television star who reallywanted his dick.

A part of Ryan still believed he must be stuck in an elaborate coma dream.

He knocked on Rachel’s door, paused for a moment, and knocked again. A few minutes passed before the door open and he was on the receiving end of a cold, but polite, “Yes? Can I help you?”
