“No, I’m not a detective. But I am consulting with the police and the FBI too. I’m a psychic,” Dustin says.
“A psychic? That’s fascinating. Jade would love to meet you, she loves things like that, unusual people. Is there any way you can do a reading? Tell me if she’s still alive?” Mary says hopefully.
“Yes. This place is full of her energy—I’m already picking up flashes of her life, but do you have something she touched a lot?” Dustin asks.
Ronan finds it interesting to watch him work. He’s good with people, but not like the charming con men a lot of so-called psychics are.
“She has a favorite coffee cup. I haven’t washed it since she went missing. It was still in the sink when she didn’t come back from locking up the shop that night. Would that work?” Mary says, standing up.
“That should work.” Dustin nods.
“I’ll go get it; I’ll only be a second.” Mary smiles, and hurries away.
“What will you do if your vision tells you Jade is dead?” Ronan asks.
