Chapter 42

It’s not as if Dustin asked Ronan to kiss him. Sure, he’d wanted it to happen, but he didn’t start it, Ronan had. Now Ronan is acting like a total idiot, and Dustin doesn’t want to have to put up with it. He had started to think of Ronan as a friend; they had opened up to each other the past few days. He wants to go back to that and he’s sad the kiss took it away.

“Maybe I’m being a little childish,” Ronan admits.

“It was just a kiss. It’s not the end of the world. You’re still a big, bad detective and awesome at your job. You’re still going to solve this thing. Nothing’s changed. That is, nothing has changed unless you let it.” Dustin wants his friend back, maybe more than he wants a lover, even though he’d really like that too.
