And when you are, you’re not really here because you’re either tired or, I don’t know, thinking about fucking work or some damn thing.” Fig shook his head, flicking his hair off his face, but Leo had no doubt the effort was done to fight tears more than anything else. “So now you know. And now you can tell me what to do. Because I don’t want any of this, Leo. I don’t want to be different. I know the two of you are…” He paused, trying to find a word or a thought.

“Gay. We’re gay. Use the word.”

Fig sucked in a sharp breath. “I was going to say ‘okay with that.’ I know the two of you are okay with that. But I don’t feel different. I don’t even think that I feel gay. I feel the same as I always have, just that now, I feel like I like Jeff a little…more. And I don’t know how to process that. How in the hell am I going to live like this?”
