“What is it?”

“No, nothing. We’ll talk when you get home.”

“I’m worried about Myles, that’s all. Ethan has been calling him the last few days.”

“You think Myles would fall for him again?”

“He doesn’t talk about it,” Derek said.

“Not even to you?”

He hesitated. “Myles looks at me sometimes and…no, never mind.”

“He loves you.”

“He’s just feeling estranged,” he said, not picking up on my last words. Or ignoring them. “I guess Ethan’s erratic behavior pushed all their friends away.”
