He wondered abruptly whether Colby was also doing any work on the accent. He figured Colby, being more or less English and upper-class himself and used to playing that up on camera, shouldn’t need much; but Colby’s voice in person had been a little different too, hints of other places and stories around the edges of spires and castles and scones. Also complicated, and tantalizing.


For some reason he liked the idea that maybe they’d both be practicing this. Maybe they’d both be thinking about character, and education, and background, and what their voices would sound like as Stephen and Will, together.
