“I won’t.” Jesse kissed his jaw, his lips lingering. “I won’t let anything keep me from it again.” 19

“This place is huge!”

Jesse straightened from the book he was studying. He’d recognize that voice anywhere. Especially when it boomed through the entire flat and carried past shut doors.

“Where’s Jesse?”

He imagined Gideon or JT merely pointing to the library door. There was a moment of silence—just long enough to cross the living area, reach the door, and fling it open.

“There you are!” Dominique exclaimed with a wide smile, like they had been separated for weeks and not forty-eight hours.

“Here I am.” Jesse stood. “You already wear down Grace’s nerves?”

“No.” She crossed her arms and frowned. “I missed you, too, by the way. David called this morning. He said we should come to London.”

“Why?”

“Something about that thing you took from Foster.”
