“Where are you staying?”

They stood on the sidewalk edging the parking lot, each poised to go off in separate directions to their cars. Though the restaurant cast sheets of yellow light through the wide windows, Trev had his back to it, shadowing his face and making it impossible for Jett to read him. The hour they’d spent together inside had been breezy and entertaining once Jett’s purpose had been made clear.
