Slowly, Trev peeled away, to find the space to gaze down at him. His eyes were still open and warm, with no hint of fear or recrimination for Jett’s confession. “That’s a big word to throw around. The biggest, in fact.”

He refused to look away. “I know.”

“And you’re sure it’s not a crush?”

Jett nodded. “A crush is when you don’t know the person, and I know you now, Trev Chambers. You let that happen. You let me in. I got to see that you’re still the most honest person I’ve ever met, I got to laugh more than I have in years, and I found a friend at the same time.”

A twinkle appeared in those blue depths. “Don’t forget the amazing sex.”

“That, too.”

Someone cleared their throat from the other side of the lockers. “We don’t have time for you two to start fucking right now,” Dominic called out. “So if you’re done with your Oprah moment, can we hit the stage, please? Some of us here are professionals who don’t want to let down the fans.”
