Finally, Mycah draw back. “I have missed you so much.”

“I have been totally despondent without you,” Sonny said.

“Didn’t your new job help at all?”

“It was okay. I like the work, the patients, and the nurse and secretary, but every night I had to go back to the house that was empty, dark, and cold.”

“I’ll be back there next weekend. Work here is going so very well. I think the only things I have to redo is part of the kitchen and behind the bar in the cocktail lounge. I also ordered a six-foot grand piano for in there. There’s enough room to have a little music in there, too, so I’ll have to put in a sound system. When the weather starts to warm up, we’ll break ground for the pool and lay the lighting for the back and parking. We’ll also start on the sauna and gym space.”

Sonny shook her head. “Is there anything you can’t do?”

“I can’t play that piano, well, I would, but no one would want to listen.”

“I’d listen.”

“But you’re in love.”
